PSD Conference - Table is ordered, Cecelia and Marcy are registered.  Bob F.
may go.  Sammy will try to attend.

What to have on table at PSD? Posters from EcoMinds series
(http://www.uuministryforearth.org/res_posters.htm)? In storage at 1st Uinv.

Cecelia will request toolkit binder for congregations from Henn. Cty solid
waste.

Cecelia will look for info on $500 grants for congregational eco-projets.

Clean Cars Postcards

 

C3 Summit -> Where is the energy, what are next steps, who will serve on the
board.

 

MEP - Marcy will get application submitted.  MEP Lobby Day - because it's a
weekday, not a lot of people can attend.  Lots of young people tend to go.
What can EcoMinds do to foster youth involvement in 2010?

 

Postcard - packet only to congregations that respond.  Master and info sheet
and small # of cards to get started.

FYI Sen. Marty has introduced an environmental justice bill.  May want to
track for second postcard??

 

H.I.R.E. Minnesota - Diverse crowds are drawn; EJAM, Native American,
Alliance for Metro Stability, Will Steger Foundation, Summit Academy OIC.
Next HIRE mtgs Feb 17th (Am. Indian Center)  & March 10th.

Need to contact Maura brown at Alliance to see what bills to support.

Louis King, HIRE co-chair, will speak at MUUSJA Spring meeting on Sunday
March 29th - 1st Univ,  1 pm.

 

Conference Call - 1st Sunday of each month.  Should we offer calling cards
or encourage folks to use calling cards - some are as little as 3
cents/minute.

Need to mention call etiquette in email invite.

March call - Repro Rights

April - no call, is PSD weekend so people can meet face to face

May - Voter rights

Second half hour of 1 hour call is open sharing, not issue specific.

 

Web Site - Judy Goebel is working on an EcoMinds web page for 1st Univ
EcoMinds.

Macalester has an experimental U class on HTML www.excotc.org  

Bob will look for photos to add to the MUUSJA EcoMinds page when it goes up.

Do we set up a Yahoo group?  What is the purpose of the board? To talk about
what people want to talk about.

Idea for MUUSJA EcoMinds page: MN Energy challenge and UU congregational
participation.
