One of the (probably many) 350.org actions taking place in the Twin Cities
on October 24th will happen at the 4th Annual Northland Bioneers Conference,
Oct. 24-25, at Willey Hall on the Westbank of the U of MN Mpls. campus.

We invite all UU eco-minds folks to check out the conference and register,
if you plan on joining us. It is going to be a really great conference.

 

I have communicated with Jenna Garland of Clean Water Action about how to
proceed to mark the day at the NBC. Since we expect at least 350
participants in the conference, and Dr. Jonathan Foley, director of the
Institute on the Environment at the U of MN TC campus, will be our keynote
speaker at the conference, we are planning on taking a "350" photo to send
to the main gathering e-site.

 

Last week, Bill McKibben, in speaking to the Augsburg College student body,
told the audience that the photos sent on Oct. 24th will be projected on
large screens in Times Square and at the United Nations Building in NYC.
