And, some great news:  HIRE Minnesota's hiring equity and green jobs bill
(S.F. 2809 - Higgins) has passed its first MN Senate committee!  This was a
critical hearing, as any bill that has not passed a first committee by this
Friday is dead for the session.  Next stops are Senate Finance - which may
be more of a challenge in this tight budget year - and House Local
Government.

We'll update you soon on hearing dates - turnout helps move bills.  We must
get the bill heard in the House Local Gov't committee by next Fri, March 19,
so watch for an action alert soon.  

MUUSJA EcoMinders can be proud that we brought 5 people to yesterday's
hearing room audience, on a rainy workday afternoon!  Thanks to everyone who
was there - you are helping us sustain the energy and enthusiasm to move
this bill!
