Good for you, Madeline! This is a great message to share with all of us!

Adele

There is a MEGA MEGA concert in process, starting Mother's Day and running until September 21, musicians all over the

MUSIC FOR PEACE
Musicians and performers around the world are dedicating their performances to Peace on September 21 and during the Countdown to Peace Day. A globally telecast peace concert is being planned to air on Peace Day from stages in Geneva, Africa, New York, Jerusalem, the Great Wall of China, India and Montreal. www.PeaceDayConcert.org<http://www.peacedayconcert.org/>

Mid afternoon today, I didn't think I had the energy to go to "The Armed Man: a Mass for Peace" concert at HAUMC at 7:30 tonight. After full AM at FUS, helping with Soup Luncheon, stopping at grocery store, and a late-late lunch at home--I was beat!!! After a 2-hour nap:

5:45 pm --decided I'd try--whipped up a quick flyer--see below.
6:40 pm --drove to HAUMC
7:10 pm --asked the Minister who was introducing the concert if he would consider dedicating it to the UN International Day of Peace, September 21--he agreed to do it
7:12 pm --handed out 100 copies of flyer at the door
7:30 pm --HE DID IT--DEDICATED THE CONCERT!!! Concert was great!!!

@ 300 people attended
@ 16 musicians in chamber orchestra (at least some got the flyer)
Large chorus waiting to march in

This is not bragging. It just proves that seemingly impossible things can be done, by making the effort, being there, and asking.

Peace,
Madeline
