Dear Jo,

Thank you so much for this gracious welcome! It was fun to be in the pulpit Sunday morning and I look forward to more of it. I will lead my first service at FUS, complete with preaching, Oct. 7th. I hope you can be there!

Kendyl has me attending pretty much every meeting to observe, to learn, and to see where I feel I fit in best so I will definitely be attending a social action meeting and probably soon. I am definitely interested in social justice and am already signed up as a volunteer for the homeless help event on October 1st. I will also be coordinating a letter writing campaign with Jean, Adele and others interested in speaking out about the war in Iraq. And of course GLBT issues are very important to me. Do you have a specific role in mind for me?

Blessings to you,
Steven

P.S. When is the next social action meeting?

Welcome to FUS, Steve! It was great to see you in the pulpit this
morning. And welcome to the Social Action e-list. It would be great to
have you come to a Social Action meeting when it works for your schedule,
and talk about your goals for this year's ministerial internship at FUS -
maybe there is a social justice role you'd be interested in.....?
