I'm still in Louisiana and won't make it back in time for the meeting.

May I reiterate some concerns

1. more linkage to UU concerns, especially those that are more unique  
to our humanist orientations
	free speech even when religions must be criticized (this is a real  
UN issue now)
	LGBTQ concerns - front and center, especially when we try to ally  
with other religious groups
        broad/comprehensive sex education
        peace issues, especially emphasizing non-violence
	unsentimental reconstructions of natural world -- stemcell research,  
intended parenthood

2. for longer run, we should be working on immigration reform and  
helping Latino communities with social problems to make UU  
affiliations a more realistic option for more ex-Catholics and ex- 
Pentecostals.

3. separation of church & state, especially in light of Obama's  
strengthening of faith-based programs.

4. continued focus on Middle East, however tense partisanships are  
within our own congregation
