The energy around this data is important - this is why we started UU
Affordable Housing Partnership, which doesn't exist anymore (after 6+
years of good work..) - but something else can rise up to address today's
housing/poverty/children's issues - the series on poverty that Kendyl
and Peter D'Ascoli organized is wrapping up, but the discussion about
what kind of UU actions and organizing should follow has just begun.
Carol is doing a good job connecting FUS folks to PEACE Foundation, other
groups whose members live at ground zero on these issues. FUS folks can
also connect with White Bear UU Church folks, they have made poverty
their top social justice issue - and they are just beginning to talk
about what that means, what it should look like, etc. Maybe we should
have some joint discussion with them.....? - Jo
