Three cheers for the rejection of the revision of the Principles!!! And it might be just fine to have a Hispanic as our president. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Tapp" <tappx001 [at] umn.edu>

We can be pleased that the attempted widening of our Principles by the
Commission on Appraisal was rejected.

You might also want to check out the new president's blog

Two links help those of us who were not at the General Assemby
understand the current state of UU matters. First, a series of blogs
on different programs

http://blogs.uua.org/ga2009/

Of particular interest to SAC will be the diversity issue. Take a look
at the blog on Morrison-Reed, and I think we could all discuss his
actual address

I'm sure we will want to hear more from Kendyl and our delegates on
such matters and the resolutions passed on social issues that can help
us frame our own emphases in the future.

Bob
