However most of the MSM coverage of The Family has focused upon Congressional sex scandals.Sharlet here discusses the journalistic reception of his book. Most have shied away from his expose as too complicated and too controversial. Humanists, however, hoping to reveal and undo some of the less visible aspects of fundamentalism, can learn much from Sharlet's experiences with the press.
