//Big Love, /a play based on Aeschylus' /The Suppliant Women/, brings 
the ancient Greek story of 50 brides who are forced to marry 50 grooms 
into a modern perspective. Following the stories of three brides and 
their three grooms, playwright Charles Mee explores the varying 
attitudes toward societal norms, gender roles, and the institution of 
marriage. Blurring the lines between movement and text, /Big Love/ 
touches on a wider spectrum of themes - from gender politics to power 
struggles - in a highly physical performance. Told with striking imagery 
and smart comedy,/ Big Love/ is a thrilling look at modern American 
values and the forces that shape them. /
