ACTION NAME: NATIONAL DAY OF COORDINATED LOCAL AND REGIONAL ANTI-WAR ACTION

DATES: Oct 17, 2009

TIME: 1:00 pm

ORGANIZATION: Twin Cities Peace Campaign - Focus on Iraq

DESCRIPTION:

1:00 pm Gather at Hennepin & Lagoon Avenue, Minneapolis
1:30 PM March to closing rally at Loring Park

The calls for the action are:

Foreclose the war, not people's homes
Out of Iraq and Afghanistan
Bring the Troops Home Now
Funds for Health Care & Human Needs, Not War and Occupation

A majority of people in the U.S. oppose the war and occupation of Afghanistan,
yet the war continues to escalate and is expanding into Pakistan. Meanwhile,
the government is contemplating sending even more troops to Afghanistan.

The U.S. occupation of Iraq also continues. These military campaigns cost
billions while jobs are being lost, and housing and health care needs of
Americans are being neglected.

We hope to see you at this important event.

Peace in the struggle,

Marie Braun
