They have a web site, and it seems like they are operating mostly in the
Congo, helping with a micro-finance program. It's difficult to ascertain
how they are funded or what their non-profit status is.(Here's the quote
from the website:
"FSI operated under an umbrella body called Grand Central Charity, which is
a 501(c)(3) organization well-versed in loan administration. In April,
2008, however, FSI registered as a non-profit organization with governments
of the USA, and DR Congo, and then started operating independent of Grand
Central Charity."
Maybe Carol could talk with her and get a sense of whether she might be an
interesting speaker for an Eat n Meet or Forum.
