I'd love to see Precious sometime. I was just thinking today about our
annual day-after-Thanksgiving movie tradition. Do you think we should try
to keep that going this year?

Continuing my role as socially-relevant culture maven <grin> there are two interesting films that are opening this week at Landmark: Skin - about a black child of white South Africans during apartheid (who had no idea that they had any black roots) and Crude - about the "Amazon Chernobyl" (I have never even heard that there was such a thing!) Also, in the "Coming Soon" list is Precious - about a young black girl in Harlem succeeding against all odds. It won at Sundance. http://www.landmarktheatres.com/Market/Minneapolis/Minneapolis_Frameset.htm Polly __________________________________________________________________ First Unitarian Society Social Action TALKTo unsubscribe, update address, see archives of message, or subscribe, go to:http://muusja.org/FUSsa
