Peak Oil expert Richard Heinberg, author of “The  Party's  
Over: Oil, War and the Fate of Industrial Societies”  will  
discuss implications of the dwindling oil supply, such  as  
rising gas prices, energy scarcity, and the potentially   
violent competition for resources, and his vision for   
adapting to the post-carbon world and the potential  silver  
lining if we do it right. Rev. Kate Tucker of First U  will  
provide a faith perspective in her  introduction.

development goals will transform the  world 
Free Town Hall Forum on global effort to end poverty  and improve the lives 
of children. Come join us to hear a top UN official,  a premier world business 
leader and a local politician talk about the  grave issues facing children 
today and how  each one of us can contribute to overcoming them.  
Speakers include Eveline Herfkens, UN Executive  Coordinator  
of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); Marilyn Nelson,  Chair  
and CEO of Carlson Companies. She played key role in   
establishing the World Childhood Foundation to preserve  the  
rights of abused and exploited  children.

VIDEO: THE OIL FACTOR: BEHIND THE WAR ON  TERROR 
This 90 minute documentary examines the link between  oil interests and 
current  U.S.  military interventions. Includes original footage from  Iraq,  
Pakistan  and  Afghanistan,  explores underlying motives behind the so-called 
war-on-terrorism, and  offers insights as to why global terrorism is  
thriving and the world is becoming an increasingly  unsafe place. 
Husband-and-wife team Gerard Ungerman and Audrey Brohy,  who produced the 
acclaimed "Hidden Wars of Desert Storm" and "Plan  Columbia," will be present 
for 
a discussion following the showing of this  new documentary. Copies of the 
video will  be available for purchase.

TAKE ACTION ON CLIMATE STEWARDSHIP  ACT 
Passage is a key goal of UU  ECOMINDS! 
Urge Senator Coleman and your U.S. Representative to  support the Climate 
Stewardship Act. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! Note: Senator  Dayton and 
Representative 
McCollum already support the Cimate Stewardship  Act, as bill sponsors. 
THE CLIMATE STEWARDSHIP ACT has been reintroduced in  the U.S. Senate and 
House of Representatives. This bipartisan bill,  introduced by Senators John 
McCain (R-Ariz.) and Joseph Lieberman  (D-Conn.), is the first comprehensive 
plan 
for reducing  U.S.  emissions of heat-trapping gases that contribute to global 
warming. The  Climate Stewardship Act sets mandatory limits on emissions from 
relevant  sectors of the economy, and encourages an increase in energy 
efficiency  and clean, renewable electricity. It will be the first time the  
U.S. 
acts  to reduce emissions that contribute to global warming. Contact Senator  
Norm Coleman today to urge him to support the Climate Stewardship Act.
