Hello UU EcoMinds! 

UU EcoMinds and C3 go to the State Fair! (If you're willing).

We have a terrific opportunity for some public environmental education
and some free P.R. for our group and for Congregations Caring for
Creation at this year's State Fair.  But we need you to weigh in. 

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (Jeff Lederman) has extended an
invitation to C3 to have a booth in their building. They would like us
to showcase something direct that people can do to reduce pollution.
They think the light bulbs would be a good choice. Sean (of C3) and Lisa
(UU EcoMinds and C3) have not yet committed to this because they need to
get enough volunteers to work the booth. An estimated 40 or so
volunteers would be needed from C3 member groups/congregations.

ARE YOU WILLING TO VOLUNTEER FOR A SHIFT OR TWO OR THREE during the
State Fair to staff such a booth?  

If we get overwhelming support now, we can go ahead and commit to the
(free!) booth.  It's a bargain. I think a paid booth at the Fair can run
several hundred dollars.  Think of all the people we could sign up for
windsource or turn on to CFLs!
