Louis King is president of Summit Academy OIC and co-chair of H.I.R.E. MN.
Summit trains and empowers people in economically depressed neighborhoods
for real jobs with a future. Mr. King regularly says "the best social
program in the world is a JOB". Now Summit has partnered with the Will
Steger Foundation and dozens of other groups to form H.I.R.E. -- the
Healthcare Infrastructure and Renewable Energy coalition -- which is doing
great things to get the Twin Cities region ready for green jobs and to hold
elected officials accountable for RESULTS from the federal stimulus bill.
