We're meeting this evening at 7pm, in the Cummins Room (lower floor of the Ed wing). Ring the buzzer for entry and come on down. 3400 Dupont Ave S Minneapolis Any questions/late entry call 612-998-6624 FYI the vote on Sen. Murkowski's maneuver to strip the EPA's authority to regulate carbon emissions is expected at about 2:30 this afternoon, central time. Congress watchers are thinking it will get in the range of 42-45 yes votes, which I really hope holds true. It is unlikely that this change will ever become law, since the House is unlikely to pass it, and Obama almost certainly would veto it if it made it to his desk, but Senate passage would be a significant psychological boost to those opposed to climate legislation (and it only needs 51 votes to pass, in one of the arcane mysteries of how the Senate works). That said, it is looking increasingly difficult to get _any_ climate legislation through the Senate this year. Sadly, the prospects for a climate bill after the mid-terms may be even worse. All the more reason for EcoMinds to be looking to state-level action as well as supporting our UU green sanctuary movement, etc. Se you tonight, Ralph
