Hi all,

Talked with Barbara Cole of Oasis this morning.  She has been my contact
person in regard to helping the Katrina family/ies.  The conversation
evolved into how the two congregations could continue to work together.

Oasis will soon be celebrating their 20th anniversary and want to turn
it into a big fund-raising time.  We talked about setting aside a date
and time when our SAC and key people in their staff/church could sit
down so they could fill us in on what they are all about.  She is hoping
that it could be during daytime hours.  Is that going to be possible?
She was thinking of a brunch; maybe 9:30 to 12:00, but that was a spur
of the moment suggestion.  She is asking for some possible dates toward
the end of November - early December.

The theme that came out in our conversation was "quality of life" in
North Mpls., regardless of race.  She emphasized that they don't get
into issues of race or gender - just humanity.

So-o-o-o, would a meeting be possible during daytime hours on a weekday?
She thought Tues, Wednesday or a Friday would be best.

You people in the working world will be key to whether or not we can
meet at this time.
