I saw Terry present on the theme of sustainabilty years ago at the Society. he's a wonderful presenter, so 'm sure it will be a good workshop.

One more info piece - Lisa Herschberger, UU from MN Valley Church in
Bloomington & a leader of the UU EcoMinds group, got Steger going on the
congregation talks & tours and work he's been doing, so UUs & EcoMinds
have been very supportive of Steger's ongoing educational outreach - I
think FUS SAC should co-sponsor the 10/30 event.

I don't know enough about the Gips workshop re: Natural Step to have an
opinion on that one.

 Kendyl, and all --

Terry Gips, board member of the Alliance, conducts the Natural Step
workshops. Basically they teach you a framework for systematically
thinking about and assessing your organization and guiding you in
making
it more sustainable. I don't know a lot of details about it...have
heard some people rave about it, and some say it didn't give them
enough
concrete steps.

I think it would be great for FUS to co-sponsor the Steger event at
 the
Basilica though...to show solidarity with the other downtown
 congregations on this issue.

I'm way behind in getting our FUS Green Team together this fall.
Apologies. Behind the scenes, I am trying to find out why we never
heard back from UU Ministry for Earth about whether our Green
 Sanctuary
action plan was accepted last May. I'd like to have it official as
 we
 take our next steps.

Here is the link to The Alliance's website with an explanation:

If that does not work try this shorter one and choose Natural Steps
 in
 the
menu or Google Alliance for Sustainability.
