Hello all, I know I've not been to a single meeting this year -- and I won't make it to the retreat on Sunday. I want to thank you for all the hard and thoughtful work you've been doing. I also wanted to put the recycling bins on your radar. The green team started down this road earlier as it was one of our Green Sanctuary action plan items, and then I got incredibly busy and it looked like funding for them wasn't available from Social Action. I think someone made a suggestion that funds might be available from the Greening FUS fundraising campaign -- as yet I don't know if that is a possibility. I haven't looked lately, but I think we need about $800-$1,000 to get the nice bins for outside the lower assembly hall, and maybe another $200 to finish up bins for the other rooms, office, and kitchen. I've made some signs myself that can go on them --either as stickers or to hang above. If this is something that might be fit into the SAC budget for next year, it would be an investment with great payoff. I think we could increase our recycling enough that we could eliminate a trash pick up -- save dollars and keep good things our of the landfills. Let me know if there is any interest. I know it's a far cry from international aid.
