This presentation traces humans from our beginnings as small hunting and
gathering tribes, through development into walled cities, into nation
states enforced by military power and state religions. It reviews various
theories on human aggression and raises many more questions than it
answers. This is a structured art slide presentation followed by
discussion.

Terri Hawthorne is a member of the Women?s International League for Peace
and Freedom Arts Committee. A feminist activist and scholar, wife,
grandmother, photographer and gardener, she teaches at Metropolitan State
University. Her books include "The Goddess in an Age of Quantum Physics,"
"Stars in your Bones: Emerging Signposts on Our Spiritual Journeys" and
"The Many Faces of the Great Mother."
