Two vignettes will be shown, the first demonstrating how Danish leaders, following the German military invasion of Denmark, used a strategy of "resistance disguised as collaboration" to rescue all but a handful of Denmark's seven thousand Jews. A second vignette shows how Chilean workers, under the severe repression of the Pinochet government, initiated a wave of nonviolent protests which led to his defeat in a 1988 referendum.
