Just a quick note to say that the true intent of Friday's party is to pay 
tribute to Jeff Jackson. 

Jeff has been a KEY leader and steering committee member of MUUSJA since the 
very beginning. He's done many, many things for MUUSJA---all with tremendous 
skill, humor, and hard work. Here's a sampling of Jeff's contributions:
Represented MUUSJA on the boards of the Religion & Labor Network and the 
Resource Center of the Americas.
Helped plan key public forums---Econ Globalization (2002),  the Free Trade 
Area of the Americas (2003), Forum on the Roots of Terrorism (2001)---two 
MUUSJA 
planning retreats (2002 and 2003), and many quarterly meetings.
Chaired the Membership Development Committee of MUUSJA.
Acted as Interim chair of EGG (Econ Globalization Group) (fall, 2003).  
Help create the organizational structure of MUUSJA.
Originated the name MUUSJA!
