Learn how this has been accomplished by the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP), head quartered in Washington, DC. Some recent TRCP national initiatives will be examined. In the exhibit, there is a pair of boots for each American soldier killed in Iraq, and countless pairs of shoes representing Iraqi deaths. WASHINGTON, D.C. Events begin Saturday with workshops and lobby trainings at a church in downtown Washington. On Sunday, All Soul's Church Unitarian will host an Interfaith Service that includes torture survivors. The main event is a mock trial on Sunday afternoon, during which prominent actors portraying US government officials (including Martin Sheen as Donald Rumsfeld!) will be prosecuted by real lawyers using real evidence from torture survivors and reputable news sources. Monday will be a rally on Capitol Hill and lobbying for an end to US support for torture.
