DOMESTIC  SPYING

On  Wednesday, December 21, the ACLU released FBI documents obtained through  
Freedom of Information Act requests that confirm that the FBI is using its  
counterterrorism resources to monitor and infiltrate peaceful activist  groups 
such as … Greenpeace and United for Peace and Justice. It is now  clear that 
the
FBI has expanded its definition of "domestic terrorism"  to include
citizens and groups that participate in lawful protests or  civil
disobedience.

Budgets are moral documents that reflect what we care about.  The latest 
budget cuts spending by less than one-half of 1% over the next  five years, 
with 
the poor bearing the burden of the cuts.
