SENATE TO VOTE ON FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE BILL--CALL SENATOR COLEMAN THIS WEEK!

Last week the U.S. House of Representatives passed the first federal minimum
wage increase (to $7.25 an hour in three steps) in nearly a decade. The
bill moves now to the Senate, where attempts will be made to amend it with
tax breaks for businesses. These tax break amendments are unnecessary and a
bad precedent for future minimum wage increases. All of them should be
rejected.

CALL SENATOR COLEMAN WITH THIS MESSAGE:
Support a bill to increase the federal minimum wage without attaching
special interest tax breaks. Keep it clean!

Senator Norm Coleman:
(651) 645-0323 (St. Paul) or (202) 224-5641 (Washington D.C.)

ATTEND FRIDAY'S RALLY AT SENATOR COLEMAN'S OFFICE!

A rally is being held this Friday, January 19th at 11:00 am in front of
Senator Coleman's office to pressure him to vote for a clean minimum wage
bill. Senator Coleman's office is at 2550 University Ave W, Suite 100N in
St. Paul.

The rally is being staged by one of our coalition partners, ACORN
(Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). It is one of four
